Spoilt

I was totally spoilt by my lovely colleagues on the last day of term: a beautiful necklace, an amazing card and a scrummy cake just to remind me exactly how old I was turning!

Hot Cross Buns

Usually my rule is that we're not allowed to eat these till Good Friday, but Tim broke tradition and had a go at making his own, with excellent results.  We've now made it through two batches, much to the delight of our colleagues at UCS and Carillion Rail.

World Book Day

This year's theme was Tintin.  Now I must have had a deprived childhood, as I'd never read a Tintin comic or watched a film in my life!  The choice of costumes for us female members of staff was pretty limited, so I opted to go as Snowy, while Nina was Captain Haddock and I'm not really sure who Estelle was exactly, but she looked brilliant anyway!

Date Night

My turn to plan our monthly date night, a beer festival in Camden proved to be a good choice.

Berko Half Marathon

Disappointingly I finished in 1:58, two minutes slower than last year, although I was training for a full marathon then.  I'm blaming it on the miserable weather, it rained the whole time!  But the pub lunch afterwards tasted pretty good!  And congratulations to Sarah and Dave who got engaged the day before, hence the champagne!
