Knitting Lessons

Learning to knit with Ine on our last day in Amsterdam, following an 18km run along the Amstel Canal.

Zeeland

Day 2 exploring 'Old' Zeeland:  visiting the town of Gouda, windmills galore, a lunch of herrings and kipperling by the sea and a very windy walk on the beach!

North Netherlands

Exploring the rather chilly Northern Netherlands with Ine and Rutger who had very kindly taken the day off to act as tour guides.  The day's itinerary included cheese tasting in Edam, a visit to a clog factory, a delicious Dutch pub lunch, an ice skating museum to view a frost-bitten toe and time to play in the extraordinary piles of sea ice.

Chocolate Crazy

Tim organised for us to do a couples chocolate making course in honour of Valentines Day and the anniversary of our arrival in London - it's been four years since we made the big move.  We spent a fun and indulgent Sunday afternoon learning about the history of chocolate, making our own giant chocolate buttons and truffles, as well as a considerable amount of tasting!  Highly recommended.
