We were lucky enough to be invited to a friend-of-a-friend's Thames-side apartment to watch the Jubilee Flotilla. The weather being atrocious, we felt quite smug to be enjoying a prime view in comfort, while everyone else struggled to catch a glimpse of her majesty from the damp river bank. Sadly though, the actual flotilla wasn't as awe-inspiring as expected. Yes, there were certainly an impressive number of boats and we got to see the birthday girl, but the best part of the day was hanging out with friends in a super cool apartment!
