As the Eden Project was only just out of St Austell, the nearest big town to Mevagissey, we had no excuse for not making a visit. Well worthwhile, we were inspired and amazed by the vision that has been created, turning an old clay mining pit into what is now the world's largest series of greenhouses. Tropical, temperate and desert climates have each been recreated inside the massive biomes, taking us from the steaming rainforests of South Amerca to the dry deserts of South Africa. Truly a remarkable place.
